For profit & for people

A few days ago I referenced a classic piece of scripture – Micah 6:8.

And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.”

It’s something special to see a person who truly embraces this and lives a life of love, mercy and humility, but what does it look like when a company behaves this way? For a great example, check out this story.

I have no idea whether or not this organization incorporates a Christian paradigm into their management strategy, but they’ve set a fantastic example of a company putting aside short-term treasure to invest in something that transcends this quarter’s sales volumes. The Ziegenfelder Company should be applauded, and we should be inspired.

Remember, next week will be dedicated to job transitions. Please encourage friends that are worried about losing their jobs, looking for a job, or just plain hate their jobs to tune in on Monday. Have a blessed weekend and a rejuvenating Sabbath!
